Southwark Supplementary Education and Mother Tongue Association (SSEMTA)

SSEMTA is the umbrella organisation for Supplementary Mother Tongue Education providers in Southwark. We provide support and advice to existing and proposed projects including helping with policy, quality and fundraising. We produce a twice termly newsletter that SMTs are encouraged to contribute to and we also organise forums, training and conferences to provide opportunities for SMTs to meet and discuss common issues. Our work includes establishing links between the mainstream and supplementary education sectors to ensure that the children of the borough receive maximum benefit from their learning.
